Immigration is a topic both personal and local, touching on identity, culture and community. The immigration debate has been plagued by rhetoric and misinformation, often deepening divisions and reinforcing stereotypes. This session shares lessons learned through the National Dialogues on Immigration Project, a cross-regional series of programs designed to spark a national conversation on critical immigration topics like citizenship, American identity, freedom of movement and civil liberties.
