Residencies have a social impact on museums. In the context of inspiring change and social responsibility, this session discusses three residencies focused on people with disabilities, indigenous storytellers and visual artists. New York Hall of Science, Native Universe project and Art Gallery of Ontario will each address how their residencies challenged them to engage with their community, rethink how they display material and create a more visitor-centered experience.
