In this case study, we will explore the pitfalls, challenges and rewards of migrating a large organization’s diverse animal identification content into a unified, iPad-based system for guests. Shedd Aquarium exhibits thousands of different species, all of which must be identified for guests. Since 2012, Shedd’s in-house team has been transferring existing and new content (print and digital) to the new system, facing and attempting to conquer various challenges along the way.
