In most museums, technology, text panels and other factors mediate kids’ experience with collections. What kids (and parents and teachers) really want and benefit from is getting up close with our amazing stuff. In this session, participants will hear strategies from educational, curatorial and directorial perspectives on advocating for and creating programs that personally and directly connect kids to collections. Then participants will collaborate on their own such program ideas.
