Intersectionality is a term used to describe the interwoven nature of the human experience. How do we (re)present both the distinctiveness and intersectionality of underrepresented racial and ethnic experiences in national museum spaces?_x000D_ Join Smithsonian curators representing the Anacostia Community Museum, National Museum of African American History and Culture, Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, and Smithsonian Latino Center in a discussion about the diverse ways in which we interpret African American, Latino, and Asian American experiences, including their connections to diaspora. It will offer approaches to comparative social histories, activist-scholarship and inclusive cultural work that go beyond the walls of the museum.
