An effective museum director will devote 20 percent or more of his/her time to board work–communicating with trustees, preparing for meetings, seeking their support, mobilizing action, and putting out the occasional brush fire. A good board is an incalculable asset and a difficult or lackluster board is a heartbreak. In this session, you will hear from experienced directors and trustees in a frank conversation about the lessons learned and successful strategies in building an effective director/board partnership.
