Museums today are under siege from a wide array of forces in new and often terrifying ways. The International Council of Museums (ICOM) is a unique network of museum professionals and experts with 35,000 members in 137 countries. ICOM is working on behalf of museums worldwide to address these forces. ICOM-US is the partner and National Committee of ICOM in this work within the U.S. In this talk show format, ICOM-US Co-Chair Kathy Dwyer Southern will interview ICOM’s new Secretary General Anne-Catherine Robert-Hauglustaine and ICOM-US Co-Chair Elizabeth Duggal about their vision for ICOM and how these institutions plan to address these seemingly insurmountable problems.
