The CityArchRiver project is a true public–private partnership. Federal, state, and local agencies joined together in 2009 to develop solutions to challenges facing the Gateway Arch grounds and surroundings. The Arch was severed from the city it represented by a tangle of infrastructure elements. The grounds were not accessible to many, and the museum under the Arch had become dated. Learn how organizers built community support that provided public and private funding, a renewed sense of ownership, and a connected park that helps rejuvenate tourism.
